Optimum appoints Williams as CFO, tipping the gender balance

Optimum Finance has recruited Vicky Williams as Chief Financial Officer. Following the appointment of CTO Gordon McIntosh in March this year, she fills the final slot in the senior leadership team, with women now holding a 60 per cent majority.

She was previously Group Finance Controller for Newport-based Propel Finance. She has over 17 years of experience in senior finance positions with a focus on supporting high growth organisations.

On her new role, she said: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining the team.  I have been impressed by the drive and ambitions of the business, the people and the commitment from the shareholders. I have a history of working with high-growth businesses and from what I’ve already seen, I’m expecting Optimum to be the best yet.

“I think they are poised to deliver a meaningful impact on the SME funding space and I cannot wait to be part of this.”

CEO Ant Persse said: “Her knowledge and experience, as well as solid track record will be extremely valuable and comes at a very exciting time for our business.“
