Why Red Rock are on a roll

The second half of 2020 proved as busy and productive as ever for the team at Red Rock Entertainment, thanks to the huge rise in TV viewing at home and an ever-growing demand for new projects.

Red Rock helps film companies to raise finance for Independent projects and has worked with the likes of John Hurt, Steven Berkoff, Vinny Jones, Teri Hatcher, and Timothy Spall, having helped to finance around 50 films, TV series’ and documentaries.

Recent productions include The Laureate starring Laura Haddock, Tom Hughes and Dianna Agron and Crimson Point starring C. Thomas Howell. Both films will be available to buyers at the upcoming European Film Market in March which runs alongside The Berlin Film Festival.

The team have also just completed two documentaries, Hollywood Bulldogs, narrated by Ray Winston, and Never Forget Tibet, narrated by Hugh Bonneville along with a 12-part TV series, Paranormal Truths.

CEO Gary Collins is a member of The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, a network of the country’s most influential figures. It champions and celebrates leadership achievements, while seeking to inspire the next generation.

The company is based at Elstree Film Studios where, in the past year alone, 11 film and TV projects have been given the green light. Gary’s industry knowledge and expertise has also featured in national news, with commentary on the impact of Brexit towards the UK film industry.

He is a regular at international film festivals speaking about his knowledge of the industry and for the past four years has been a judge and mentor at J.E.T.S (Junior Entertainment Talent Slate) at the Berlin Film Festival.

In November 2019, he was awarded London CEO of the year by the Global Media Agency, and last year Red Rock Entertainment won the Innovation & Excellence award for Best Film Finance Company of the Year.

Gary’s personal philosophy is to facilitate the creation of ground-breaking Investment projects by helping to reduce the risk for potential investors in UK film and TV projects. The success of this approach is borne out by the range and quality of the titles on Red Rock Entertainment’s fast-growing slate of productions.
