East Midlands accountants and business advisers Duncan & Toplis has joined Toyota and the University of Nottingham as Patrons of the UK’s leading chamber of commerce

This marks the first time the Top 30 UK accountancy practice has pledged patronage to East Midlands Chamber, which offers business support and services to organisations across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. The Chamber recently won the accolade of Chamber of the Year from the British Chamber of Commerce.

With 11 offices across the East Midlands, including in Newark, Loughborough, Melton, and Stamford, Duncan & Toplis’ patronage with the Chamber will create a range of opportunities for the business, from networking with fellow business leaders from across the region to international business support.

Ian Phillips, deputy managing director at Duncan & Toplis said, “Becoming a patron of East Midlands Chamber was an easy decision to make. We have a presence in towns and cities across the East Midlands and strong connections with leading businesses in the area, so it made sense to further strengthen our ties with the business community through supporting the East Midlands Chamber.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with the Chamber to expand and deepen our presence in the East Midlands and further afield with the Chamber’s excellent national and international connections.

“At Duncan & Toplis, being an advocate for local business and the community is fundamental to our values. Working with regional organisations like the East Midlands Chamber gives us a huge scope to continue this reach.”

David Pearson, director of partnerships at East Midlands Chamber said, “Following its winning the ICAEW East Midlands Large Accountancy Firm of the Year for 2019, Duncan & Toplis work across multiple sectors including agriculture, property and construction, healthcare and education, offering the traditional accounting, auditing and taxation services alongside a variety of added value services such as payroll, HR and IT. It’s great to see the business community expanding as more and more established and highly successful organisations join the Chamber to support our work and the local area.”
