Matthew Macfarlane from Ogier’s banking and finance team in Guernsey has been promoted to senior associate.
Matthew focuses on banking, finance and related corporate and regulatory matters, working with Guernsey partners Marcus Leese and Christopher Jones. He advises on multi-jurisdictional deals, including all aspects of acquisition, real estate and asset financing. Matthew also has a background in commercial litigation and corporate work.

Matthew initially qualified in Scotland and has advised on several high-profile financing transactions including the £250 million purchase of Aldwych House in the City, a major office development in St Peter Port and a £439 million student housing project in Bristol.
